FA VASE SECOND ROUND PROPER DRAW MADE

Seven clubs will represent the Essex Senior League in the FA Vase Second Round with only Ilford (knocked out in a 0-1 home defeat to AFC Kempston Rovers) losing in the seven ties played on Saturday involving the ESL clubs. Hullbridge Sports enter at this stage joining the six victorious clubs from the weekend's games.

The same number represent the Spartan South Midlands League which could rise to eight if Stotfold win there re-arranged game at home to Newmarket Town this Tuesday. Saturday's game was called off at half time due to an injury sustained by The Jockey's player Toby Bicknell. Thankfully what was thought to be a serious one it was discovered only to be swelling and bruising.
Cricklewood Wanderers, who play in the shadow of the national stadium, continue their FA Vase journey on their debut in the competition. The Middlesex County Leafue side recorded an amazing 1-0 victory over Spartan South Midlands Premier Division side Welwyn Garden City on Saturday and now travel to Ipswich Wanderers in the next round who beat FA Cup heroes Hoddesdon Town at the weekend.
Edgware Town representing Division One of the SSMFL have a long journey to the Suffolk coast to play Kirkley and Pakefield who are currently in 11th place of the Thurlow Nunn Premier. A few miles North in Gorleston it'll be Essex Senior League side FC Romania visiting.
The bookmaker's made Shildon 5/1 joint favourites prior to the First Round fixtures but they were beaten in what sounds an unforgettable game. Handsworth Parramore won 5-4 after extra time afte the game had finished 4-4 after 90 minutes.
Hereford FC (0-2 winners at Rocester) are now 7/2 favourites with BETVICTOR.COM followed by Salisbury FC (2-6 winners at Calne Town) at 5/1, Alvechurch and South Shields 8/1 are follwed by Handsworth Parramore, Marske United and Morpeth at 12/1. Last season's winners North Shields are rated at 16/1.

Hereford FC fave a home tie against West Midland's Regional League Premier Division side Haughmond FC who are based in Shrewsbury so it's a local(ish) game for both sides which will attract a massive crowd to Edgar Steet. Salisbury FC entertain last season's semi-finalist's AFC St Austell.
