YOUNG TOWNERS CONTINUE THEIR FA YOUTH CUP RUN WITH IMPRESSIVE VICTORY AT TOP FIELD

Enfield Town under 18s continued their run in the FA Youth Cup on Friday evening with a hard working performance in recording a 1-3 victory over Hitchin Town under 18s side at Top Field. Defender Matthew Payton scored two goals with Lewis Wilson scoring the third which was a splendid strike from the edge of the penalty box at the end of the game that put a gloss on the scoreline for the away side. Payton was terrific at the back for Enfield but it could of been a different result had Hitchin scored when the game was 1-1 - they did have a wonderful chance to - but for an amazing last ditch tackle that managed to deflect the ball onto the cross bar and out.

Did The Canaries have a good shout for a penalty kick in the first half when the Town keeper appeared to push one of the home players in the box - see from 0m 45 secs on the video to make your assessment?

After three away games against Welwyn Garden City, Spelthorne Sports and tonight's opponents the young Towners are on their travels again in the Third Qualifying Round when they visit Mayesbrook Park to play Barking u18s scheduled for the week beginning Monday 18th October.
