LOSS PERCENTAGES - ANY POINTERS TOWARDS TITLE WINNERS?

The average loss percentage total for teams which have won the Ryman Premier Division title over the past ten seasons is 13.56%. The highest being 19.05% in 06/07 when Hampton and Richmond lost 8 of their 42 games played - the lowest being 9.52% on three occasions - 12/13 Whitehawk 4/42, 08/09 Dover Athletic 4/42 and 05/06 Braintree Town 4/42.

Based on the above figures and the highest figure of 19.05% the current leaders, Dulwich Hamlet, can only afford to lose 4 of their remaining 28 league games if they are to be in with a chance of winning the title - this would put them on a loss percentage of 19.56% or 46/9. This would be a big (over 10% to 14.29%) jump from their current loss percentage in their opening eighteen games - Remember the lower the better!

The best placed team is probably fifth placed Tonbridge Angels on a figure of 14.29% and games in hand over all the teams above them. If they continue this form they would have lost either 6 or 7 games by the time 46 are played. Hampton and Richmond (16.67%) and Bognor Regis Town (20%) are the next best placed in terms of loss percentage.

BET365.COM make Tonbridge Angels the league title favourites at 10/3 followed by Dulwich Hamlet at 4/1, Leiston at 7/1 - then Grays Athletic, Hampton and Richmond and Kingstonian at 10/1.

The Angels are Ryman Premier Division current title favourites at 10/3
Tonbridge Angels next three league games come at Grays Athletic on Wednesday evening, at home to Leatherhead next Tuesday (subject to FA Trophy replays) and then travel to Needham Market on Saturday 7th November.
