The Extra Preliminary Round of the Emirates FA Cup has been completed with the midweek replays played over the last couple of days. Here are how the local Spartan South Midland and Essex Senior Clubs are getting on -

Seven of the eighteen Essex Senior League clubs who started out remain for the Preliminary Round with four facing Ryman Division One (North) sides, two facing Eastern Counties League sides and one a Spartan South Midlands Premier side. A note for ground hoppers is that The Airportmen's home tie against The Dockers will be played on Sunday at Bishops's Stortford's ground.

Eleven SSMFL clubs remian for the Preliminary Round with Hoddesdon Town looking to cause a Friday night upset against Ryman Division One (North) side Romford and then with many of the teams at home to higher opposition on Saturday I think there will deifnately be one or two 'shock' results here.

The clubs from step four enter the competition at the Preliminary Round stage which includes the teams from the Ryman Division One (North). The winners of the games receive a healthy amount of £1,925 from the Football Associaition's prize fund.
