TOWN WINNERS AGAINST CRYSTAL PALACE YOUNGSTERS

The pitch at Donkey Lane is looking good - very green and ready to go for the season proper.
Enfield Town recorded a good 2-0 victory over a very youthful Crystal Palace side (made up of players from their current under 18 squad) at Donkey Lane this evening via goals from Bobby Devyne and Aryan Tajbakhsh. Devyne could of made it 1-0 via a penalty early in the first half when he was brought down in the area by Palace goalkeeper Oliver Pain. His spot kick was well saved by the Australian keeper. Shortly after the half hour mark Devyne sprung the offside trap to delightfully chip over Pain to make it 1-0.

Town dominated for most of the game with Deyyne and Whiteley looking very impressive up front - Palace caused the home side little problems in front of goal with substitute Ayan Tajbakhsh scoring with a nice finish from the edge of the box to make it 2-0 with around 10 minutes to go. My man of the match went to Micky Parcell who put in a energetic performance at right back for the home side combined with a number of excellent tackles all through the game.
