BRENTWOOD TOWN SIGN UP NEW PLAYERS INCLUDING EX TOWNERS
It's been a busy few weeks for Ryman Premier Division new boy's Brentwood Town. Joining new Director of Football and First Team Manager Dean Holdsworth's coaching team are Paul Hilton and Tarkan Mustafa.
Hilton is a UEFA A Licence holder and brings with him a wealth of experience having been coach at Bishops Stortford and part of the youth coaching set up at West Ham United, Ipswich Town, Stevenage and Gillingham. He made over 100 appearances for Bury and 60 appearances for West Ham United during his playing days.
Mustafa is well known around the local non-league scene having played for Canvey Island, Redbridge, Thurrock, Aldershot Town, Dagenham and Redbridge, Rushden and Diamonds and Barnet amongst other clubs.
A number of players have also joined including two ex Enfield Town players in striker Liam Hope and midfielder Mitch Hahn (who played for the blue in 2008/09 under previous manager Carl Griffiths). Also joining are midfielder Nicky Symons (who was with East Thurrock United last season and has played for Bishops Stortford and Braintree Town), midfielder Sam Lechmere (from Billericay Town), Jordan Holdsworth (Dean's son who has played for Aldershot Town, Chelmsford Ciry and Braintree Town), Dave Collins (ex of AFC Hornchurch and Great Wakering Rovers) along with goalkeeper Tom Pitman who rejoins the club where he has had two previous spells between 2010-12 and 2013-14.
The Blues start their pre-season campaign next Wednesday (July 8th) with a home game versus Dagenham and Redbridge.
