A LEGEND RETURNS AND A CULT HERO LEAVES AT NYEWOOD LANE

Bognor Regis Town legend Jason Prior has officially returned to Nyewood Lane signing a contract for the forthcoming Ryman Premier Division season. The striker had spent the 2014/15 season with Margate but following his recent release from the play-off winner's he has returned to the South Coast. He scored an incredible 95 goals in 126 games for The Rocks between 2009 and 2012 which earned him a trial with Premier League Newcastle United and an eventual move to League Two side AFC Wimbdledon.

A horrific leg break in a football league game with Crawley Town in April 2012 put him out of the game for nine months. He left Wimbledon in March 2013 and has since played for Dartford, Gosport Borough and Margate. He did play a handful of games on loan at Bognor last season.

The Rocks have secured his signature despite reports clubs from higher in the pyramid were actively pursuing him. Prior is a real fan's favourite at Nyewood Lane - I'm sure their fans will be relishing seeing 'Bognor's Number 9' in action next season.

As one legend returns to Bognor Regis another has left. 6ft 5inch defender Stuart Axton has moved to Scottish Highland League side Formartine United following his move North of the Border due to work commitments. Axton had cult status with The Rock's faithful scoring the winning goal in the Division One (South) play-off final against Dulwich Hamlet.

It's quite a distance (over 600 miles) between Nyewood Lane and United's North Lodge Park in Pitmedden, Aberdeenshire.
