NEWLY PROMOTED MERSTHAM STRENGTHEN THEIR SQUAD

Division One (South) play off winner's Merstham have made a number of signings in preparation for the forthcoming season. Manager Hayden Bird has held on to most of the his succesful squad from last season with just midfielder's Peter Adeniyi (retired) and Taurean Roberts (moved to Portugal) leaving The Moatsiders. 

Joining the club are midfielder Tommy Kavanagh (from Kingstonian), left winger Stefan Cox (who returns to the club after a spell with Tooting and Mitcham United), right sided midfielder/winger Michael Abnett (from Dulwich Hamlet), centre back Michael Olarewaju (also from Hamlet), left-back Nathan Gordon (another from Tooting) and striker Frankie Sawyer from Redhill.  

There will be two sides playing at The Moatside next season as Division One (South) Walton Causals temporarily share whilst their Riverside Stadium is redeveloped into a new Sports Hub.
