RYMAN PREMIER - THE RACE FOR THE PLAY-OFFS

Courtesy of footballwebpages.co.uk
The Cold End thinks there  is no doubting that Maidstone United and Margate will probably finish in 1st and 2nd place - not necessarily in that order of course. I've stated before that I think both Dulwich Hamlet and Hendon will finish in the play off spots but I'll include these teams in the below alternate table in the race for the three play off spots available. Some teams have good chances and others have outside chances. It's very tight with just five points seperating 5th and 13th places.

RYMAN PREMIER DIVISION
the race for the play-offs alternate table

TEAM TO PLAY PTS POSSIBLE PTS
DULWICH HAMLET 7 68 89
HENDON 11 68 101
MET POLICE 9 61 88
EAST THURROCK UNITED 7 60 81
WINGATE & FINCHLEY 7 60 81
LEISTON 8 59 83
KINGSTONIAN 8 58 83
LEATHERHEAD 7 57 78
BOGNOR REGIS TOWN 8 57 81
ENFIELD TOWN 9 57 84
BILLERICAY TOWN 11 56 89
GRAYS ATHLETIC 10 53 86

Dulwich Hamlet, who have been one of the most consistent teams in division so far, have hit a bit of bad form of late losing four of their last six league games which has pulled them closer to the chasing pack. Hendon are unbeaten in six games and look in a good position to gain a well deserved play-off place. Metropolitan Police unexpectedly lost at bottom of the table Bury Town on Saturday with East Thurrock United winning 1-0 at home to Hampton and Richmond, Wingate lost at home (0-1) to Billericay Town, Leiston drew 0-0 at home to Harrow Borough, Kingstonain won 2-1 at home to Witham Town, Leatherhead lost their first game in nine when they lost 3-1 at Enfield Town and Grays Athletic recorded a decent 1-2 away win at Bognor Regis Town.

This mid-week's fixtures involving play-off chasing teams -

Monday 15th March
Billiericay Town v Maidstone United
The league title favourites visit The New Lodge. Could The Blues spring a surprise?
Hendon v Metropolitan Police
After Saturday's surprise defeat the Metropolitan Police get a chance to put things right tonight. All the clubs below the Met will be supporting Hendon at Earlsmead in this one as a defeat for the Met will pull there possible points total back to 85

Tuesday 16th March
Hampton and Richmond Borough v Bognor Regis Town
The home side are still not safe from relegation and need to pick up a few wins. This will be a difficult game for The Rocks.
VCD Athletic v Grays Athletic
Grays have an outside chance for a play-off spot - four wins and a draw in their last five games have helped. Could there good form continue at VCD who need a win to keep fighting against the threat of relegation?
Witham Town v Enfield Town
Another relegation fighters v play-off chances game. Witham lost 2-1 at Kingstonian on Saturday - it was 1-1 up to K's winner scored in the 82nd minute.

Wednesday 18th March
Hendon v Canvey Island
Hendon's second midweek game as they catch up with their games in hand.
