RYMAN PREMIER DIVISION PREVIEW - A PIVOTAL WEEKEND?

courtesy of footballwebpages.co.uk
It's been an amazing week for Gary McCann's Hendon side who have played and won the three home games they have played against Tonbridge Angels, Metropolitan Police and Canvey Island. The nine points the greens have gained has cemented their play-off place and also put them up into second place. They tavel to thirteenth placed Billericay Town this weekend which will be a tough trip following their three games in five games. Table topper's Maidstone United go to Leatherhead who will be looking to get back to winning ways following their 3-1 defeat at Enfield Town last weekend.

FACT - MAIDSTONE UNITED HAVE A 1.93 POINTS PER GAME TOTAL IN THEIR FIXTURES PLAYED IN 2015 TO DATE. MARGATE HAVE A MUCH LOWER TOTAL OF 1.55 P.P.G FOR 2015. OVERALL MAIDSTONE HAVE A TOTAL OF 2.18 PER GAME COMPARED TO THE GATE'S TOTAL OF 2.00.

Third placed Margate entertain eighth placed Wingate and Finchley and will need to pick up a win to keep up their title hopes in order. Dulwich Hamlet, who are on a run of five games without a win, entertain seventh placed East Thurrock United. There is another game, the result of which will have a real effect on the play-off picture, as Kingstonian travel to Imber Court to play the Metropolitan Police.

FACT - FOURTH PLACED DULWICH HAVE FAILED TO SCORE IN FOUR OF THEIR LAST SIX GAMES. BOTTOM OF THE TABLE BURY TOWN HAVE SCORED IN FIVE OF THEIR LAST SIX GAMES.

With games involving 12th v 1st, 13th v 2nd, 3rd v 8th, 7th v 4th and 5th v 11th it could be a really pivotal week in the race for the play-offs.

FACT - ENFIELD TOWN HAVE WON EIGHT OF THE THIRTEEN GAMES THEY HAVE PLAYED IN 2015.

Enfield Town make the trip down to the South Coast to pay Peacehaven and Telscombe who are comfortably in mid-table which I'm sure they'll be happy with in their first season at this level of football. So far they have played 19 home games and won 8 of these drawing 4 and losing 7. In 2015 they have played six games at home beating Hendon 2-0, Lewes 2-0 and East Thurrock United 4-3. They have lost to Wingate 1-2 and Lesiton 0-4.

At the foot of the table Bury Town had a surprising win over Metropolitan Police last weekend and travel to  18th Tonbridge Angels tomorrow. The Suffolk side have not managed back-to-back wins this season and will find the Kent side difficult opponents as they have only lost two games in seven (narrowly 0-1 versus Hendon and 1-2 against Wingate) since the beginning of February.

VCD Athletic make the short trip over the river to play Grays Athletic who this week has re-signed Harry Agombar on loan from League One side Swindon Town. The midfielder impressed lots of people playing for Grays in 2012 and moved onto Macclesfield Town and Maltese side Floriana FC before signing for Swindon in the summer of 2013. He has yet to make a first team appearance for the football league side.

Harrow Borough have given themselves a chance by drawing three and winning one of their last four games. Who would of said they would gain five points in games versus Wingate, Maidstone United and Leiston? They welcome Canvey Island who make the trip to Earlsmead for the second time in four days having lost to Hendon on Wednesday evening. This week could be very important to Borough who host VCD Athletic on Tuesday and then travel to AFC Hornchurch next weekend in two big relegation six-pointers.

Witham Town host Bognor Regis Town and AFC Hornchurch travel to Hampton & Richmond Borough. If The Urchins win at The Beveree it could pull the Middlesex side right back into the fight against relegation.

ODDS

Bury Town have the highest odds with the bookmakers. They are 19/5 to win at Tonbridge Angels who are 1/2 to get a victory.

The lowest odds are 4/6. Both Maidstone United (at Leatherhead) and Grays (at home to VCD) are these odds to win.

If you fancy Enfield Town to continue their good form you can get 11/10 for a victory at Peacehaven & Telscombe.

Hendon are the form side in the division with 16 points won from the last 18 on offer. Witham Town and Canvey Island are the out of form sides with just 3 points won from 18 on offer. The Islander's are without a win in seven games and haven't scored in three away games. Does this mean they are due a good result or do Harrow Borough look good odds at 5/4 to win at Earlsmead tomorrow?
