CLAPTON ULTRAS CELEBRATE ANTI-HOMOPHOBIA CAMPAIGN IN STYLE

The famous Clapton Ultras celebrated the football v homophobia campaign in some style on Saturday when an amazing crowd of over 300 people packed out The Old Spotted Dog and saw The Ton's win a seven goal thriller 4-3 versus Basildon United in the Essex Senior League.

Clapton FC are still on the road to cup glory on two counts. They won 5-0 versus Enfield 1893 FC in the Gordon Brastead Memorial Trophy Quarter Final yesterday evening and now play Haringey Borough in the semi-final. Barking play FC Romania or Takeley in the other semi-final.

In the League Cup they are the only side to make it through to the semi-finals at present. Tonight their is a Basildon derby game in one of the quarter-finals as Bowers and Pitsea make the short trip to Basildon United. The winners of that tie play the winners of the London Bari v Barking tie. Clapton face either Haringey Borough or Takeley in their semi-final.

The Ton's next game comes away at in-form Bowers and Pitsea on Saturday before they play London Bari in an East-London derby at The Old Spotted Dog next Tuesday 24th March. On Saturday 28th March Enfield 1893 visit East London again but this time for a league fixture.
