THE FA SUNDAY CUP 2014/15 - UPDATE

The FA Sunday Cup is at the Fourth Round stage with games due to be played on Sunday 18th January. There is some local interest with Kopa League side New Salamis playing Barnes Albion, Priory Sports of the Chelmsford Sunday League playing NLO of the Middlesesx Sunday League and Crawley Green (Sunday) of the North Home Counties League entertaining The Windmill who make the long trip up from Plymouth. Another North Home Counties side AC Sportsman are still awaiting to see if their result from the Third Round stands as detailed below - The Third Round game is subject to an FA investigation. 

Hetton Lyons are the only former winners left in the competition having lifted the trophy in 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2012. Barnes Albion and Lebeqs were runner's up in 2013 and 2007.

The Merseyside area is well represented with three teams from the Liverpool and District Sunday League, two from the Liverpool Business Houses Sunday League and One from the Birkenhead Sunday League.

*The Third Round match was abandoned in the 87th minute with AC winning 3-1. Still awaits confirmation if the result will stand.
