The future of Hitchin Town's historic Top Field stadium is in doubt with plans afoot to develop the site into a supermarket. The beautiful game has been played at Top Field since 1871 when the original Hitchin FC drew with Crystal Palace in an FA Cup game with Hitchin Town calling it home since their formation in 1928. The Cold End is fully backing the campaign to save Top Field. As the above picture states this is not just about a football club but the Town in general - This excellent Game Of The People article explains things in a little more detail.
If you're a fan of football in the local area the club need your support on Saturday 6th December 2014 when after the march there is free entry to their game against current Calor Southern League Premier Division table topper's Poole Town.
