It was fourteenth v fifteenth in Division One of the SSMFL yesterday evening as Langford welcomed Codicote to Forde Park. It turned out to be a very open game with the home side wasting a number of decent goal scoring chances in the first half where the score was 1-1 (I missed Cod's first goal on camera). The second half saw Codicote much the better side and once their second and third goal went in the home side's heads seemed to drop and they conceded another three before scoring a second themselves just prior to the final whistle. The visitors were missing a few regular first team players so on this showing they will finish much higher than their current position. Langford can take some positives from the game in that they are creating scoring opportunities and just need to be more clinical in front of goal.
