BARNET PLAY IN EDGWARE - EDGWARE TOWN PLAY IN BARNET

UNDERHILL BACK IN USE FOR FOOTBALL - TEMPORARILY

Barnet left their Underhill Stadium in the summer of 2013 for their new stadium "The Hive" and since then it has been used by Rugby League side London Broncos as a training facility. It was recently announced that Bee's chairman Tony Kleanthous was looking to sell the ground that had been home to the Hertfordshire side for over 100 years.

It has been announced by the reformed Edgware Town that they will use the stadium for their opening Spartan South Midlands League Division One games as the development of the 3G pitch at Silver Jubilee Park has been slightly delayed and won't be ready in time for the new 2014/15 season.

So August and part of September could be the last time to see competitive football is played at Underhill.

It also throws up the strange fact that Barnet will play their Skrill Premier games at The Hive in Edgware and Edgware Town will play their games in Barnet!
