WEST FC LIFT THE CARL COUZENS CUP AND SCORE A WORLDIE!

The Hitchin Sunday League Carl Couzens Challenge Cup Final was played on Sunday night at Arlesey Town between Premier Division West FC and Division One side Mon The Biff FC. The finals I have seen played in this league never seem to disappoint regarding action and entertainment such as last season's Division Two Cup final between MTB and Jagerbombers - link here. PJ Hitchin's 2-1 victory over Red Star in the 2011 Premier Division Final - link here and the 2010 George John Cup Final when Red Star won against Cannon Reserves - link here

A decent crowd watched this game which saw West FC dominate throughout playing some decent football. It was 1-0 at half time and 3-0 at full time with West's third goal being a worldie. If Luis Suarez had scored the same goal for Liverpool or Ronaldo for Real Madrid it would of been talked about for years. The ball was headed out following a corner to outside of the box. The West player took one touch to control it and then volleyed it straight into the corner of the net. It was that good I've made a separate video for it which you can check out below. Full highlights of the game and trophy presentation are also below.
