AMPTHILL COMFORTABLY THROUGH TO THE NORTH BEDS CHARITY CUP FINAL

Ampthill Town, of the Spartan South Midlands Premier Division (Step 5), travelled to Potton United of the United Counties League Division One (Step 6) last night to play the North Bedfordshire Charity Cup Semi-Final and the result went the way of the visitors by a comfortable 0-4 scoreline. Ampthill's fourth goal was scored by Danny Watson which was incredibly his 50th of the season!

Ampthill scored two in each half and qualify for the final where they will play the winners of the other semi-final which is being played on Thursday 10th April between Barton Rovers and Langford.

There is an interesting game taking place at The Hollow next Wednesday 9th April night when Potton United Reserves entertain their local rival's Potton Town in the Bedfordshire County League Division Two. A proper local derby that Town need to win to keep up their challenge at the top of the table.
