The race for the title in Division One (North) looks to be down to just two teams being VCD Athletic and Witham Town with Harlow Town and Thurrock ready to move in should both sides suffer a drop in form. Saturday 5th April will see a massive game take place when Witham Town travel to VCD Athletic for what could be a title deciding fixture.
The race for the play-offs is probably down to eighth placed Needham Market and above. AFC Sudbury is ninth place have 57 points off of 35 games and will find it hard to finish above fifth placed Heybridge Swifts currently on 66 points off of 36 games.

40/1 outsiders look set to win the title?
In Division One (South) it looks to be Peacehaven and Telscombe's title to lose with a comfortable ten point gap between them and second placed Leatherhead on 76 points. This looks even better when you see Peacheaven have a game in hand as well. The Sussex County League champions of 2012/13 were 40/1 outsiders for the title in pre-season -Will there be another sea-side trip for fans of Ryman Premier teams in 2014/15?
Peacehaven won 5-1 versus Worthing last night in front of a crowd of 348 in the Sussex Senior Challenge Cup Semi-Final. They will face either Bognor Regis Town or Horsham YMCA in the final at Brighton & HA at the end of the season.
With a eight point gap and a game in hand between 5th and 6th place the play-off places could it be said the play-off places are sorted already. Seventh placed Mertsham are the form team with five wins and a draw in six games so could be best placed to make a challenge for the top five.
Guernsey are well placed to earn a play-off place in third place - The Green Lions will be looking to seal a third promotion in three seasons since they were formed in 2011.
It's not all over in the Ryman Division One (South) but could Peacehaven and Telscombe be coming to the Ryman Premier Division for 2014/15 after being members of the Sussex County League since 1969. |
