LONDON SUNDAY JUNIOR CUP - 2013/14

The London Sunday Junior Cup kicks off this Sunday with eleven first round ties taking place as shown below. Surely any football knock out competition that features 'Jeff's Chippy', 'Cosworth' and 'Streatham Stanley' amongst others is worth keeping any eye on -

The aforementioned "Jeff's Chippy FC" are named after a chip-shop in the Sharrow district of Sheffield which unfortunately went bust in the early 1990's but whose name lives on through the football club as many of the player's in the Central London Super League side originally come from the Steel City. They travel to "Brixton Old Boys" who ply their trade in the Maccabi Southern Football League.

Their website states they are 'A group of like minded footballers that play for the enjoyment but also competitively and with the right attitude and commitment.

Other ties of note see "White Hart Lane" of the Barnet Sunday League face a trip down South to 'Bermondsey Town' who play in the Metropolitan Sunday League. "Cosworth" (based in Newbury Park) of the Ford Sunday League welcome "London Knights" (based in East Ham) of the South Essex Football League.
