RAIN, RAIN, RAIN, RAIN AND MORE TORRENTIAL RAIN!

There were a host of games called off or abandoned today following torrential rain in the South-East of England. The above is the scene at Maldon and Tiptree's game versus Burnham Ramblers (courtesy of @essexfootie(Dan Wilson))

Ryman Premier games at Hampton and Richmond and Canvey Island were called off along with Division One (North) games at Thurrock v VCD Athletic and the above game at Maldon being abandoned. The Essex Senior League saw games called off at Basildon United, Bowers & Pitsea, Clapton and Great Wakering Rovers along with the game at Hullbridge being abandoned at half time.

What sounds like the game of the day came at Chalk Lane where Cockfosters Reserves scored seven goals and AFC Dunstable also hit the back of the net five times. 7-5! Cuffley 4 Knebworth 4 (HT 2-3) in the Hertfordshire Senior County Premier Division sounds quite a game too.

For Enfield Town fans looking for highlights of the fantastic 3-2 home victory versus Hendon there are unfortunately none from me as I couldn't attend the game due to junior cold end's sixth birthday party.

The rain is still falling and lots of roads are flooded in the local area (especially Essex) so if your out and about please take care.
