The start of the Ryman League season could be delayed as the situation regarding which division Thurrock FC will play progresses. The story is excellently covered by Under The League and an interview with The Fleet's media officer Tony Flood in June by Football Exclusives shows a good background to the case. Flood was also spoken to by the Thurrock Gazette on Thursday which details the club's current stance on the matter.
Thurrock's recent appeal to The Football Association was lost and at present the point's deduction and subsequent relegation in place of Carshalton Athletic stands.
However, Thurrock have stated they may now take their appeal to The European Court of Arbitration which will almost certainly mean a delay in the scheduled start of the Ryman League season on Saturday 10th August 2013.
