CRAZY AFTERNOON AT WINGATE & FINCHLEY


Wingate and Finchley entertained Thurrock this afternoon at The Harry Abrahams Stadium in a Ryman Premier Division game which has ended up making National Headlines and near enough trending on Twitter. With Thurrock leading 0-1 through a Stuart Thurgood penalty the game was abandoned on 85 minutes after Wingate received the their fifth red card of the game leaving them with less than seven players on the pitch.

The Blue's centre back Ahmet Rifat who had many a battle with Enfield Town's Paul Marks during the 2009/10 season was one of the players sent off.

The Football Association are apparently launching an investigation into the happenings at the game.
