There has been some surprise news from the Ryman Division One (North) champions from last season as Leiston have parted company with their popular manager Mark Morsley. After a meeting with Leiston chairman Andy Crisp in the week the club accepted Mark's resignation with immediate effect. Morsley had overseen the most successful period in the Suffolk club's history with two promotions in as many seasons from the Eastern Counties League to the Ryman Premier Division.
Lee Norfolk has taken over as Caretaker Manager and will be in charge of today's game versus the Metropolitan Police. Norfolk had been coaching at Victory Road and has played for a host of local Suffolk based clubs including AFC Sudbury, Needham Market and Felixstowe and Walton United.
Morsley leaves Lesiton in 14th place in the Ryman Premier on 26 points with 5 wins in 22 games.
