GAME OF THE SEASON TOMORROW AFTERNOON?

One of the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division games of the season takes place tomorrow afternoon as second placed Oxhey Jets welcome top of the table Dunstable Town to The Boundary Stadium for a hotly anticipated game.

Dunstable Town are still unbeaten in league fixtures which is a tremendous achievement and they are only four goals off hitting a century. However, The Jets are only seven points behind with a game in hand so the result tomorrow really could decide where the title ends up.

The game between the two at Creasey Park ended 1-1 (played on Saturday 1st September). The Jets have only lost two league fixtures which both came at home. In their second game of the season they lost 0-1 to St Margaretsbury and amazingly lost 0-8 to Haringey Borough in a totally unexpected result on Tuesday 11th September.

Both teams have strikers in fine form with Dunstable's Lee Roache (started his career as a youth and professional player with Barnet (2003-2006) and went on to play in the football league and Conference with the Bees a total of thirty six times scoring seven times. He has also played for Cambridge City, Histon and Bath City amongst other clubs) scoring 37 times in league and cup games so far this season.

Oxhey's Lewis Putnam has a better record, he has scored an amazing 54 times already this season!!
