Hemel Storm 69 Team Northumbria 61
English Basketball vcars.co.uk Division One
TheColdEnd recently visited the Hemel Storm when they beat Westminster Warriors 94-80 and was back again on Saturday night as they welcomed Team Northumbria. The visitors are riding high in the division with a record 10 wins and 4 defeats prior to the match with Storm on a record of 6 and 6.
It was a great performance from the home side with Bode Adeluola (number 5) and Williamz Omope (number 14) scoring some impressive three point shots along with Tom Adorian (number 12) getting a great dunk shot after some swift passing across the court in the second period.
Match highlights that TheColdEnd caught are below. Stay watching for the plays of the night with some music on 18m 20secs.
Hemel Storm are next at home on Saturday 2nd March when they play Essex Leopard whom hold a 3 and 0 record over them this season. The Leopards (who will join the BBL for 2013/14 season having successfully applied for a franchise) have beaten The Storm in 81-61 in a National Trophy group game, 70-59 in the League and 92-84 in the National Trophy semi-final a few weeks back. It'll be a real chance for The Storm to record a victory over their local rivals. The atmosphere in the semi-final game was apparently brilliant so I can only recommend a visit if your local and have a free evening. It's great fun for all the family with kids of all age made very welcome.
They also have home games versus Bradford Dragons on Saturday 9th March and Leicester Riders on Saturday 23rd March.

Great piece! Hemel seems to be a hub of sporting activity at the moment. Along with the Storm, the football club are one from the top of the Southern League and the Stags (rugby league) have now entered Championship One.
