COD & HOD SERVE UP A CUP CLASSIC AT THE STADE DE GOSLING

Both Codicote and Hoddesdon Town came into Tuesday night's Spartan South Midlands League Challenge Trophy Second Round game having been knocked out of the FA Vase the previous weekend.

The Cod Army had played 120 minutes of football against the London Lions on Sunday where they narrowly lost out 2-1after extra time.

The Lillywhites had played local rivals Hertford Town on Saturday at Lowfield with the Premier Division visitors recording a 3-5 victory.

The Challenge Trophy is the Spartan South Midlands League Cup with all three division's teams entering and this was the first second round game to be played for the 2012/13 competition.

The 46 people who were in attendance had a choice of staying in and watching England on the box or coming along to this game. Those that came along obviously made the right choice as the roof was on at The Gosling Stadium (aka Stade De Gosling) and the game went ahead with no problems.

If you don't know the result of the game I won't spoil it for you and recommend you watch the extended 20min+ highlights below -
