Langford welcomed Kentish Town to Forde Park on Tuesday evening in what turned out to be another entertaining game from the Spartan South Midlands League.
The visitors had struggled to find any form until three games ago when they sprung a major surprise by beating Cockfosters 0-2 away (8th September) and followed this up with a home 1-1 draw against current second placed Southall (11th September).
Town's win at Chalk Lane is the only league defeat Cockfosters have suffered so far this campaign.
Langford's form had been reasonable and they sat in 9th place in the table going into this game having won their last two league games 4-0 and 5-0. They had also recorded a 0-1 win at Kentish Town in the FA Vase on the 1st September but had since been knocked out by Codicote 2-0. The Cod Army going through in extra time when they had only 9 men!
Langford absolutely dominated the game from start to finish. The score at half time was only 1-0 but the home side could of been 3 or 4 up at least. In the second half Langford smashed in 8 goals with Kentish getting a deserved consolation goal much to the excitement of one of their travelling fans check out the cheer/scream on the video!! Marvellous support!!
Kentish Town Assistant Manager Lee Okugbeni has since revealed that his side were missing eight first team players and had fielded a very young side so despite the result being a bad one it's not time to panic just yet.
Three of Langford's goals were scored by Kim Forsythe who is currently on loan from Evo Stick Southern Premier Division local rival's Arlesey Town. Jack Gregson (number 8) also put in a big performance in midfield, he looks a very impressive hard working player that can pick a pass, put in a tackle and has an eye for goal too.
