THE RACE FOR THE PREMIER DIVISION TITLE TAKES ANOTHER TWIST

In the race for the title in the Ryman Division One (North) both Billericay Town and AFC Hornchurch were in action this afternoon with Town dropping points in a 1-1 draw at home to fourteenth placed Carshalton Athletic. AFC Hornchurch made it four wins in a row with a 1-2 win at twentieth placed Tooting and Mitcham United.

Third placed Lowestoft Town are 9 points off of AFC Hornchurch and 11 points off of Billericay Town. Even with two games in hand it looks like it's the play-offs for the Suffolk side for a second season in a row.
This Monday sees a BRIDGE AVENUE BANK HOLIDAY BLOCKBUSTER as AFC Hornchurch face Billericay Town in what could be the title decider! The game is sure to attract a large four figure crowd which could see AFC overtake Billericay into top spot. An away victory would probably see Town with one hand on the title but with a home game against Lowestoft Town and AFC facing relegation threatened Leatherhead (19th place) on the final day of the season it could really go down to the wire.

Monday also sees some big local derby games as Canvey Island take on Concord Rangers, Bury Town welcome Lowestoft Town for a Suffolk derby that could also be a dress rehearsal for either a play off semi or even final!
