AFC Sudbury were still in the Alan Boon Cup as they left for the long journey home from Donkey Lane last night. A much changed Town side with only Dave Kendall starting from the XI that began the league game on Saturday went down 0-2 with a goal scored in each half by the Suffolk visitors. John Docker and the impressive Rhys Darg were on target for AFC who had eight players starting from the game at the weekend.
The first half was a largely forgettable affair with Town having a better second period with Daniel Ailey unlucky not to get a goal. He had one shot well saved by Danny Gay and did get the ball into the net following a cross from Joe Stevens which was ruled offside. A small amount of match highlights will follow this evening on the cold end.
A good crowd of 152 people were at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium.
