This Saturday sees Non League Day 2011 take place across the county. The brainchild of James Doe a QPR and Harrow Borough fan, which took place so succesfully last year, once again is encouriging fans to support their local non-league team as the Premier League and Championship teams take a break due to the International games.
From nonleagueday.co.uk
"With England playing on Friday 2nd September and the Premier League and Championship taking a week off, I urge all fans of the big clubs to get out and watch their local Non-League teams instead on Saturday 3rd September 2011!
Given the current financial climate, clubs outside the football league need all the support they can get, so your presence at a game will be genuinely appreciated. With tickets and refreshments at a fraction of the cost, what's stopping you!"
The Preliminary Round of the FA Cup takes place on Saturday so their are a huge number of interesting games to choose from.
The Cold End can highly recommend a trip to your local club where you will receive a warm welcome and hopefully see some good football that doesn't cost an arm and a leg to watch!
PLEASE SUPPORT NON-LEAGUE DAY
