The race for the title now looks to be between the top two with Guildford City on seventy-two points from thirty games played and Chertsey Town on seventy points from thirty one games played. Guildford City won 2-0 against Chertsey Town in September with Chertsey winning 3-0 in the return game in February. Camberley Town in third place still have a chance with two games in hand over Chertsey and still having to visit the current 2nd placed side on the 9th April. City's only other defeat came in the game after the 3-0 loss at Chertsey when Chessington & Hook United won 3-4 at the Spectrum Leisure Centre.

NEXT THREE GAMES - RACE FOR THE TITLE

The only club to be promoted from the first division after last season were Mole Valley SCR (the SCR is a not to the club's former names of Sutton Common Rovers and Sutton Common Road) who have made a respectable debut in the Premier Division. The club currently ground share at Cobham FC's Leg O'Mutton Field after leaving the River Lane Sports Ground, Leatherhead in 2009. The Commoners went unbeaten for their first five league games winning the first two 4-1 before losing to Molesey 3-1 on August Bank Holiday Monday. The Moles have the best home record in the league with only one defeat which occurred recently against Guildford City on the 5th March (score was 1-2). On the same day, Wembley, who are the team with the worst away record won their first game on the road beating Dorking 1-2. The Chicks finished bottom of the table last season but were not relegated as only Mole Valley SCR came up and no team came down from Step 4 to replace champions North Greenford United. They may not be so lucky this season as they are firmly in the relegation fight alongside Bookham, Croydon and Banstead Athletic. Bottom of the table Bookham looked doomed winning only three out of twenty-nine matches so far and being eleven points off safety.

In the first division the league leaders are Farnham Town who could be overtaken by South Park if the current third placed side win their three games in hand. With a seven point gap between Warlingham in fifth place and the top four it looks like it'll be between Farnham Town, Bedfont Sports, South Park and Worcester Park as to who will finish in the promotion places. Farnham's current Chairman is Woking FC legend Geoff Chapple. At the bottom of the table Chobham are the only team across the divisions who haven't an away victory to their name. Their last league victory on the road was nearly a year ago on the 20th March 2010 when a 1-2 win was achieved at Staines Lammas. Their next away game comes on the 26th March when they visit Frimley Green. The Stags as they are known welcome The Hammers this Saturday in a game when Chobham play Cobham!! "The Chob/Cob derby" part two occurs on the 5th April as Cobham play Chobham.

Last season Couldson United finished bottom of the Division One table after winning just one of their forty games having a -118 goal difference. The club formerly known as 'Netherne Village' who Enfield Town supporters will remember from our trip there in the 2001/02 Capital Feeder Leagues Trophy. Couldson dropped into the Surrey Elite Intermediate Football League and are unfortunately bottom of the table at present winning four of their twenty league games. Middlesex based Spelthorne Sports are currently top of this division which feeds into the CCL Division One and have apparently applied for promotion.

Another team who could be playing in the Combined Counties League from next season is one representing the Island of Guernsey. More information can be found here about their application to join the league. If they are accepted apparently all club's travelling expenses will be paid for by the Channel Island side.

So from next season the fixture list could have an international feel to it as for example, Guernsey FC visit the Osterley Sports Club to play CB Hounslow United!!
