Frenford Senior lead the way on 25 points from last season's runner's up Kelvedon Hatch on 20 points. Harold Wood Athletic who won the league last season are currently down in eighth place. It looks as if it's going to be a three way fight for the Championship between the top three but with so many games to play any team can move toward the top of the league. The division is made up of 14 teams so 26 games are to be played in total. Third placed Manford Way who have a 100% home record conceding no goals have still to welcome Kelvedon Hatch, Frenford Senior, Buckhurst Hill and Rayleigh Town to the London Marathon Sports Ground in Hainult so will have a big say in where the trophy goes at the end of the season.
Table topper's Frenford Senior have only lost twice so far against Kelvedon Hatch (away 2-0) and Ongar Town (home 1-4) and have a good squad with many player's having experience from higher up the pyramid so it will be difficult for the other teams to go above them in the race for the championship.
Frenford Senior and Rayleigh Town are in "Essex Premier Cup supported by BBC Essex 103.5" action this weekend along with a number of other EOFL sides. The round four fixtures, all scheduled to be played on the 29th January are as follows -
Harold Wood Athletic v Rayleigh Town - Both of the EOFL Premier Division

A huge game in the race for the ESL championship takes place tomorrow night at Hargrave Park when current table topper's Enfield FC 1893 visit the only unbeaten team left in the league and last season's champion's Stansted. If the Airportmen win all their games in hand they will go three points ahead of 1893 so the result of tomorrow night's game will have a big bearing on the top of the league. Stansted have the best defence in the league having only let in six goals in eleven league games and only two in their five home games face the top scorer's with 1893's 46 in 16 games. Stansted have to be congratulated for their fantastic FA Vase run having reached the quarter-finals with their excellent 4-1 away victory at Bodmin Town last weekend. Third placed Southend Manor are on a superb run of form. Their 3-1 victory at home to Eton Manor was their tenth victory in a row in the league. Former Great Wakering Rover's player Nicki Beale has been turning in some good performance's for them and they still have to play EFC 1893 twice and Stansted at home so will have a big say in the league championship should their brilliant form continue.
Only two of the current top five (EFC 1893 and Witham Town) have applied for promotion to Step 4 of the non-league ladder. If successful they will be playing Ryman Division One (North) football next season.
Finally, spare a though for bottom of the table Clapton FC. They had to wait until their fifteenth game of the season to record a win. The Tons beat local rivals Barking 1-0 at the Old Spotted Dog on the 1st January in front of 53 people. Their only other win in competitive fixtures came in the Gordon Brasted Memorial Trophy against Takeley, who themselves sit above the East London side having only won two league fixtures so far.
The lowest crowd recorded in the ESL this season so far is 5 people who watched the London APSA v Bethnal Green United game on the 11th of December with the highest being 124 who watched the local derby game between Bowers & Pitsea and Basildon United at The Len Salmon Stadium on the 1st of September.
