WEEKEND PREVIEW - LEAGUE LEADERS TO VISIT GOLDSDOWN ROAD

Due to the amount of rain that has fallen in the local area there is a pitch inspection due at Goldsdown Road at 10am tomorrow morning. Should the game get the go ahead it's the current league leaders who make the trip around the M25 to face Enfield Town.

East Thurrock United are sitting top of the league at present having won 14 of their 19 games. They are also top of the current form league winning six out of six scoring 13 and letting in only 3.

John Coventry's team have lost two league games so far at home to Thamesmead Town (0-2) and away at Wingate and Finchley (1-2). Since the defeat against Thamesmead Town on the 9th October they are undefeated and have won nine games drawing only one. In fact they are on a nine game winning run scoring 21 and letting in just 7 goals.

So it's a very good game in prospect with a bang in form team visiting Town who will be in a confident mood following the excellent 5-1 win at Sudbury on Tuesday night. Let's hope the showers hold off and the game gets the go ahead.

Down the bottom of the league it's two big basement local derby battles when Redbridge entertain Ilford and Waltham Forest host Leyton.

Sixth placed Romford hosting third placed Wingate and Finchley looks to be the game of the day. Boro's back line, who still have only let in just eight goals in their fifteen league games, will be in for one of their toughest tests so far this season.
