...or it could be 20th in the home performance table v 4th in the away performance table as Redbridge take on Enfield Town tomorrow afternoon at Oakside.
The Motormen have hit a nice run of from of late that has pulled them away from the bottom of the table. They have won four on the spin versus GWR at home and Thamesmead Town, Heybridge Swifts and Ware away. This run does date back to the beginning of December as we all know the cold snap put some major gaps in the fixture lists of all clubs.
Following the departure of previous manager Kris Taylor the club have given ex Halstead Town and Tiptree United manager Jody Brown the hot seat. Brown has also been a coach at football league side Colchester United.
Alex O'Leary and Kevin McLeod scored the goals to help the Motormen to a 1-2 victory at Ware in midweek. McLeod will be a real threat to the Town back line tomorrow as he is very experienced in football at a higher level starting his career at Everton and playing for QPR, Swansea City, Colchester United, Brighton and HA and Wycombe Wanderers in the football league. He has a record of 237 league and cup appearances hitting the back of the net 24 times. Since signing for the Motormen at the beginning of September he has hit eight goals in seventeen appearances.
Other player's that Town fans may recognise may be former Leyton keeper Elliot Justham, ex Aveley defender Glen Golby (signed in October from ESL side Bethnal Green United) and Julian Ashby who has played for Brentwood Town previously.
The cold end likes to see that the Motormen have signed a player from lower down the non-league pyramid in defender Sean Crossley. He was signed from Essex Olympian neighbour's Westhamians and has taken his chance of playing a higher level well making 19 appearances so far this season.
The current form table over the last six matches shows the match will be 5th v 6th so it'll be close game and looking at some of the player's Redbridge now boast their current 18th position in the full league table maybe a false one.
Other commitments sees the cold end missing this game but I'm sure Adam from Redbridge FC may provide a report on his club's website. He also writes a blog called Nobody Remembers Losers which is well worth a read. The cold end is also pleased to hear that the excellent and award winning website The Ball is Round will also be watching the Town in action tomorrow.
Please note that Redbridge's Captial League game was postponed in midweek due to a waterlogged pitch at Oakside so check to see if the game is on before travelleing....surely, the Town can't have another game postponed!!!!
