With only nine points seperating 15th placed Cheshunt and Enfield Town at the top of the table it's all to play for in the Ryman Division One (North). If 3rd placed Needham Market win their two games in hand they will go top by three points with any number of teams poised ready to make a run towards the top of the league. No team is without a defeat with only basement boys Waltham Forest and Redbridge yet to taste victory. For the East London area the table doesn't make good reading with Leyton and Ilford lurking towards the bottom of the table.

Harlow Town have added some new players to their already impressive squad and recorded an excellent victory at home to W&F on Saturday. Defender Sacha Opinel has joined The Hawks from Blue Square South Farnborough FC, he is a well travelled experienced player who has played in the French league along with the English and Scottish football leagues. Midfielder Leon Hunter, who has bags of Ryman League experience has also joined the Essex side from AFC Hornchurch and scored the winning goal at home to W&F on his debut for his new side.

Eighth placed AFC Sudbury boss Nicky Smith has signed defender Taylor Sinfield from Concord Rangers in the last week. The Suffolk sides form has been somewhat topsy turvy (lost 0-4 at home to Romford, then won 4-0 away at GWR before being thrashed 5-1 at Heybridge Swifts). They have drawn four of their last five league games.

The only management casulty of the season has come at Oakside where bottom of the table Redbridge parted company with Dave Ross. His Assistant Kris Taylor has taken over at the helm and started with 2-1 win in the FA Trophy at home to Chatham Town before losing league games to Ilford (2-0 away) and at home to Maldon and Tiptree (0-5). The Motormen's next four league fixtures look tough playing Grays Athletic, Brentwood, Potters Bar Town and Romford before they face a bottom of the table local derby clash against Waltham Forest at home on the 6th of November. Taylor's side also face local rivals Leyton twice in the next month in the Championship Manager cup and the London Senior Cup.
