RYMAN NORTH MIDWEEK PREVIEW

There are plenty of matches in the Ryman Division One (North) this midweek with the action spread over three nights. Tonight (Monday) the in-form (won two out of last three including a stand-out 1-0 home victory against East Thurrock United on Saturday) Motormen of Redbridge travel to Northwood. After five straight defeats the Wood find themselves in mid-table obscurity with the East Londoner's still nervously looking over their shoulder's at Leyton in the 2nd relegation spot. BWIN.COM make Redbridge outsiders at 17/5 with Northwood favourites at 3/5. The cold end thinks Redbridge may just shade this match with some more resolute defending as they did on Saturday.

Tuesday night see two matches which will effect proceedings at the top of the table with Champions elect Lowestoft Town facing a tough away day at The International Arena. Brentwood Town have won 7 of their last 10 games, one of those was their brilliant 2-1 win at Crown Meadow on the 9th March. Their only defeats have come at the hands of Town (a), Concord Rangers (a) and a close fought game against W&F (h).

At Rookery Hill two teams firmly in the play-off places and possible opponents in the end of the season games for Town face off against each other. East Thurrock United who surprisingly lost on Saturday will want to get back to winning ways against Concord Rangers who have won their last 3 games scoring 8 goals and letting in none. The cold end predicts a very close hard fought and competitive game in store between the Essex rivals.

Even if Lowie were to lose tomorrow night and Concord Rangers win there will still be a five point gap between the two with the Trawlerboys looking comfortable having a game in hand and a vastly superior goal difference.

Other games are at Barrows Farm where bottom of the table Harlow Town on 14 points face Maldon Town who recorded a good weekend win at home to Ware. The Hawks eventful campaign now looks certain to end in relegation. Even if they win all of there final 6 games they will finish on a points total of 32 so can now only realistically catch Redbridge in 20th place currently on 27 points. If the Motormen win tonight at Maldon Town or in their home match on Wednesday against Waltham Forest and The Hawks lose on Tuesday their fate will be sealed. The Stags will be without their top-scorer Daniel Gabriel for Wednesday's local derby at Oakside as the striker who has scored 20 goals this season has recently transferred to Premier Division Aveley. Gabriel was a 81st minute substitute for his new side in their 3-4 home defeat to Kingsstonian on Saturday. The Millers also including centre-back Adam Bailey-Dennis in their side who played and was sent off for Great Wakering Rovers against Town back on the 6th February. Ex Towner Ryan Edgar also featured in the home side.

Ware entertain Cheshunt in the A10 local derby at Wodson Park. There will only be local bragging rights to play for in this one with The Ambers along with their Hertfordshire rivals in 15th and 19th place respectively.
