RYMAN NORTH CLUBS IN THE F.A CUP UPDATE

Out of the 22 teams in the Ryman Divsion One (North) there are now 14 clubs left in the FA Cup, the next round being played on 12th September.

The following clubs have been knocked out - Great Wakering Rovers, Brentwood Town, Harlow Town, Ilford, Cheshunt, Redbridge & Tilbury. Leyton did not enter this season's competition.

There are 3 clubs who play lower level teams from the pyramid:

Lowestoft Town play Dereham Town for the Eastern Counties League.
Maldon Town travel to SSML Harefield United.
Heybridge Swifts entertain Eastern Counties Stanway Rovers.

There are 9 clubs who play similar level teams from the pyramid:

Thamesmead Town who have made a good start to their league campaign entertain Windsor & Eton who have won 3 out 4 in the Zamaretto South and West Division.

East Thurrock United play Ware, Northwood entertain Wingate and Finchley and Romford play Concord Rangers in all division ties.

Potters Bar Town travel to Zamaretto Midland league side Aylesbury United.

VCD Athletic travel to Hampshire for what looks a tough tie against AFC Totton who were 3rd in the South and West division last year and have cup pedigree reaching the final of the Vase in 06/07.

Enfield Town and Waltham Forest are the two unlucky clubs to face teams playing at a higher level of the pyramid with Town's local derby visit to Waltham Abbey and The Stags playing at Boreham Wood. Both Wood and Abbey playing in the Ryman Premier.

Any team playing in these 1st Qualifying round ties have good reason to give 100% in their games as the winners get £3,000 prize money. This goes up to £4,500 in the 2QR and £7,500 in the 3QR. Any club who is lucky enough to battle through to the 1st round proper that started in the Preliminary round pockets a total of £29,000 in prize money alone. A massive amount of money at this level of football.
