WEEK TWO FIXTURES AND PREDICTIONS

Friday 19th March
Slavia Mozyr v Torpedo BelAZ
Prediction - Away Win. A difficult game to predict. Slavia were looking like holding on for a point at Isloch before a goal in the 88th minute - Although from the second half performance and chances created it was probably the right result. Slavia need a goal scorer. The 3-0 defeat at Dynamo Minsk was a little harsh on Torpedo and they played well at times. I'll go for a narrow away win in this one.
Isloch v Smorgon
Prediction - Home Win. Smorgon's opening day 3-0 defeat at Energetyk saw them play some decent football but they lacked creativity up front and goal-scoring is what might be their downfall this season. The new look Isloch squad looked like they have great team spirit  in their opening game and should, with an early goal, win this one comfortably.

Saturday 20th March
Energetyk-BGU v Shakhtyor
Prediction - Away Win. The champions only just beat a defensively minded FC Minsk side last weekend thanks to a late Dembo Darboe goal. They had much of the possession in that game but didn't create many chances with their dominance. I'll go for an away win with Darboe scoring again but they won't make easy work of it against a home side who may well score as well.
Vitebsk v Dynamo Minsk
Prediction - Away Win. Dynamo had a fantastic result beating Torpedo scoring three second half goals. This will be a game with defences on top and could end 0-1 to Dynamo I think.
Dynamo Brest v BATE
Prediction - Draw. A new look Dynamo Brest who had a great win at Sputnik on the opening weekend of the season will be in a confident mood. However Sputnik are likely to finish in the relegation places so they will find this game much harder. I'll go for a 1-1 draw.
FC Minsk v Rukh Brest
Prediction - Away win. FC Minsk will defend well in this game but Rukh will have more than enough to win with goals in the second half. I think maybe 0-2.

Sunday 21st March
Slutsk v Neman Grodno
Prediction - Draw. Neman played out a 0-0 draw in a game affected by the wind last weekend. A new look Slutsk team lost 3-0 away to BATE. Both teams have alot of new players in their squads. Slutsk will be better at home than they are away from home this season. I'll go for a 1-1 draw in this game with Slutsk's new Nigerian centre forward signing Steven Alfred scoring a goal. He was the stand out player for them last weekend.
Gomel v Sputnik
Prediction - Home Win. Gomel got the result of the weekend in their impressive 1-1 draw at Rukh Brest. Sputnik will need to improve immensely especially at the back if they are to get anything out of this game. Gomel to win I think with Sputnik failing to score.
