On Thursday 2nd May 1963 London League side's Chingford and Epping Town played each other in the final of the Romford Charity Cup Senior Section Final. In the 1962/63 season Chingford were champions and Epping Town finished in 4th place of eleven teams.
The result of the final went to form with Chingford winning 2-0 with goals from Cheeseman and Gooch. Below is the single-sheet programme produced for the game which was played at the famous Brooklands Stadium in Romford.

Epping Town went onto to join the Athenian League and Isthmian League which they withdrew from midway through the 1984/85 season and folded due to financial problems.
The modern day Epping FC joined the Essex Olympian League in 1976 and became Eppingsale in 1992 and then eventually just Epping in 1999.
Epping are currently members of the Essex Olympian League Senior Division Three and play their games at Stonards Hill Recreation Ground close to the Town High Street. This is the same place where the old Stonards Hill ground of Epping Town stood.
