Last year's winners were Spartan South Midlands side The 61FC (Luton) who play MK Wanderers in the second round this year. The Wanderers, who received a bye to get to this stage, won't be relishing the game as the two sides met in the league last Saturday. Second placed The 61FC ran out 15-0 winners against the MK side who are rooted to the foot of the table. MK's only positive result this season has been a 1-1 draw against Mursley United way back on the 19th August. Since then they have been on a 20 games losing streak in league and cup competitions. It's safe to say anything but a home victory in the game at the Kingsway Recreation Ground will be a major upset.

White Ensign of the Essex Olympian League Premier Division have won this competition three times (2003, 2006 and 2007) welcome Hertfordshire Senior County League Premier Division Cuffley to the Borough Football Combination HQ in Southend-On-Sea. This should be a close game as both clubs have similar league records (Cuffley 5 wins out of 14 games and White Ensign 4/9)

Another EOFL V HSC game takes place between Epping and Letchworth GC Eagles. Epping are bottom of their Premier Division with a record of one draw and eight losses in nine league games whereas the Eagles are riding high in their division sitting top of the league by a margin of nine points from Hinton who were knocked out in the first round by SSMFL side Padbury United. This game at Stonards Hill may not be as close as the one in Southend with Eagles considered strong favourites. Epping did win in the last round against HSC side Bovingdon.

Padbury United who are top of the SSMFL ahead of The 61FC (Luton) travel to fellow league side Tring Corinthians who held them to a 0-0 draw in the league on 4th September. Padbury United were the beaten finalists last season.

Hainult based Manford Way of the EOFL face another HSC team Sarrett. A familiar face in former Towner Keke St Hiliare scored for Manford Way in their league victory last Saturday. This should be another close and entertaining game/

Two HSC teams in Lemsford and Sandridge Rovers face a local derby game in order for one of them to get through to the quarter-finals. The visitors will be considered favourites as they are fifth in the league as opposed the hosts who are bottom of the table.

The cold end wishes good luck to all the team involved.
