GOOD LUCK TO THE FOUR SPARTAN SOUTH MIDLANDS LEAGUE TEAMS IN FA VASE ACTION THIS WEEKEND

BUILDBASE FA VASE FOURTH ROUND PROPER
ties featuring SSMFL teams only
Bradford Town v Southall
Hinckley AFC v Berkhamsted
Sporting Khalsa v Tring Athletic
Sun Sports v Bromsgrove Sporting

The Cold End wishes the best of luck to Premier Division Berkhamstead, Tring Athletic and Sun Sports along with Division One Southall who continue on their Road to Wembley on Saturday. When it comes to this stage of the Vase there are no easy games and the above ties are a good example of this.

Southall go to Bradford Town who are currently in fifth place of the Toolstation Western League Premier Division - In their last game they narrowly lost 1-0 at title chasing Melksham Town on Boxing Day in front of a bumper Christmas crowd of 476 people.

Berkhamsted are also on the road to Midland League Division One side Hinckley AFC. They are fourth in the table just five points below league leader's Bromsgrove Sporting who travel to Sun Sports.

Hinckley AFC won their two games played over the Christmas period 2-0 (v Leicester Road) and 1-3 at Heather St Johns. 348 saw the home game versus Leicester Road on Boxing Day.

Bromsgrove Sporting played two games over the festive period - they drew 1-1 with RC Warwick on Boxing Day and then beat Pershore Town 5-0 on Bank Holiday Monday 2nd January. 788 saw the match with Warwick and 581 witnessed the Pershore Town game.

Sporting Khalsa are also in the Midland League but play one step up in the Premier Division - they are in fifth place and won both of the last two games played - both were away from home against AFC Wulfrunians (1-3) and Shawbury United (0-1). They famously got through to the FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round last season bowing out to a 1-3 defeat to FC United of Manchester.
