Here is a match preview of the eagerly anticipated game. As you can see from the below information they have consistently been the best performing clubs in Belarus over the past two decades - Since 2010 they both haven't finished outside of the top three in the table. THE MANAGERS

Yury Vernydub has been in charge of Shakhtyor since November 2019 - Prior to this he was boss of Ukrainian club Zorya Luhansk from 2011 to 2019.

Kirill Alshevsky is only 38 years of age but already has nearly 20 years of managerial experience under his belt. He started as Assistant Manager with RUOR Minsk in 2002 and has had numerous spells with the youth and reserve sides of BATE. In 2009 he was the manager of Dynamo Minsk in the Premier League when he was only 27 years of age. He replaced Alyaksey Baha in December 2019 as full time manager of BATE.

THE PLAYERS

BATE
Stanislav Dragun has been the stand out player for BATE this season. The 32 year old midfielder has scored 5 goals in 11 league games so far. He has 66 caps for the Belarusian International Side.

Serbian striker Namanja Milic is the super sub for BATE scoring 5 goals in four starts and six sub appearances in the league.

Defender Zakhar Volkov, 22, has been impressive for BATE this season. He only has one International cap for Belarus but more will follow I'm sure.

SHAKHTYOR SOLIGORSK
Goalkeeper Aleksandr Gutor won the Premier League title as a Dynamo Brest player. He was a BATE player from 2008 to 2012 when he won five Premier League titles. The 31 year old has ten clean sheets in twelve league games so far.

Midfielder Dmitri Podstrelov, 21, joined from Dynapro where he played last season. He has made 5 starts and 7 subsitute appearances and scored 4 goals. He made his International debut for Belarus against Uzbekistan in February and then scored the only goal in the 0-1 win over Bulgaria. A player with a big future.

Striker Vitali Lisakovich rejoined Shakhtyor for the 2020 season after spending time on loan with Croatian clubs Rudes and Varazdin. He has scored 6 goals in 7 starts and 5 sub appearances so far. The 22 year old is another to make his full International debut recently and is another with a big future ahead of him in the game.
