NO WINS IN ELEVEN LEAGUE GAMES AND SEVEN GOALS CONCEDED ON GAME BY THE TUDORS

They say a week is a long time in football...If you are a Hemel Hempstead Town fan the period from the beginning of October to today has been an extremely lengthy nightmare!

The Tudors were top of the league and it was looking very much like a title and/or play-off challenge. Tonight The Tudors are in 17th place after being thrashed 1-7 at home to Dorking Wanderer!

For tonight's game against The Wanderers they did have a huge number of players out due to injury. Ben Tompkins, George Williams, Chris Smith, Ricardo German, Alfie Cerulli, Connor Kurran-Browne, Saleem Akanbi and Emmanuel Maja were all sidelined along with Kyran Wiltshire who was suspended.

The pressure is on Manager Bobby Wilkinson after ten defeats in their last eleven league games along with an Isuzu FA Trophy exit at Aveley. They had gone unbeaten in their first nine games of the season with six wins and three draws scoring nineteen and letting in ten goals.

Their next game is away at Salisbury on Saturday followed by a home game against Weymouth on Saturday 14th December. They then have a pre-Christmas trip to Torquay United before the hugely anticipated Boxing Day home local derby against St Albans City who were 2-3 up at Aveley tonight but eventually lost 6-3.

The Saints are currently under the temporary charge of Director of Football Harry Wheeler after the recent departure of Manager David Noble.

There is currently TEN points between The Saints are 23rd and The Tudors in 17th - Back on Saturday 28th September the gap was EIGHTEEN points with City bottom of the table and their local rival's top of the table!
