Momo Yansane who was amazing for Belarusian Premier League side Isloch last season where he scored some amazing goals and became a real fan's favourite across the world is apparently on the verge of a move to Russian Second Tier side FC Nizhny Novgorod.
The 23 year old Guinean scored 8 goals in 23 games for Isloch before departing midway through the season. He has been training with Malian Premier Division side Black Stars over the past few months.
Nizhny Novgorod are currently top of the Russian Football National League and their stadium capacity is 44,899.
They narrowly lost out on a place in the Russian top flight losing in the promotion play-off in the 2018/19 campaign.
The Russian season is currently on a winter break and will return to competative football in February. The club do have some friendly games arranged during their hot weather training camp in Turkey.
The City of Nizhny Novgorod in the sixth largest in Russia and has a population of around 1.2 million people!
The club were only formed in 2015 as a 'farm club' to FC Volga Nizhny Novgorod (formed 1963) who were dissolved in 2016 which allowed the newly formed club to be the main club. If Momo does make the move I'm sure his new club will get received a huge amount of interest from around the world.
The league has some epic away day trips - the best example is FC Baltika Kalingrad v FC Ska- Khabarovsk. For those not in the know Kalingrad is a small semi-exclave in-between Poland and Lithuania. Khabarovsk is in Eastern Russia just 19 miles from the Chinese border. The journey is only 5914 miles each way! A return journey by road would be the equivalent of driving to and from Barrow to Torquay over 17 times!
