Neman Grodno 2 Smolevichy-STI 0 (650)
Torpedo BelAZ 0 Dynamo Brest 2 (950)
Dynamo Minsk 1 Slavia Mozyr 0 (751)

On Saturday many people thought Smolevichy may have followed on from their victory over Gorodeya last weekend with a good performance at Neman Grodno. It wasn't to be though as Neman scored two second half goals to take a well deserved three points. Smolevichy Manager Aleksandr Brazevich must now go back to the training pitch and hope for better next Friday at Slavia Mozyr - they didn't have one corner or have a shot on target in the game.

It's the second time in the season that Smolevichy have had no shots on target in a game - The last time was in the 0-0 draw against Shakhtyor in the game week four.

Neman skipper Valeri Zhukovskiy broke the deadlock on 68 minutes with a great striker from outside of the box on 68 minutes with subsitute Maksim Yablonskiy adding some gloss to the victory with a second goal for Neman on 88 minutes.

Neman have now won four games in a row (Torpedo 3-1, Gorodeya 2-0, Slavia Mozyr 3-1 and Smolevichy 2-0) - they travel to out of form Slutsk in their next game on Friday evening.

The game of the weekend exceeded expectations as the top two played out a 2-2 draw. igor Ivanovic scored for the visitors in the 8th minute with a near post header from a corner. BATE keeper Anton Chichkan made an excellent save right on the half time whistle from Yury Kendysh's header to keep the score down to just 0-1. The home side piled on the pressure in the second half and thanks to goals from Pavel Nekhajchik (61st minute) and Maksim Skavysh (78th) were looking like taking the three points only for Dmitri Podstrelov to score a controversial equaliser in the 81st minute. In the build up to the goal it looked as though Julius Szoke had fouled Chichkan but the officials allowed play to go on. Two points seperate the top two at present and it's looking like a very exciting race for the title with last season's champion's Dynamo Brest now in form (three wins on the trot) and in third place.
