Greenock Morton 21/20 Draw 5/2 Dunfermline Athletic 21/20
PLAYERS TO LOOK OUT FOR
Markus Fjørtoft, 26, signed for Greenock Morton from Hamilton Academical in September. He is the son of former Norwegian International Jan Åge Fjørtoft who represented Swindon Town, Middlesbrough, Sheffield United and Barnsley during his playing career. He scored in their recent 1-1 draw at Alloa Athletic.
Kalvin Orsi, 23, came through the academy ranks at Aberdeen. The winger has also played for St Mirren, Queens Park (on loan) and Brechin City.
Lewis Mayo, 20, is a defender and currently on loan with Dunfermline Athletic from Rangers. He has been capped at u17, u19 and u21 level for Scotland.
Lewis McCann, 19, is a centre forward for Dunfermline Athletic and has been capped at u21 and u19 level for Northern Ireland.
Greenock Morton currently have a caretaker manager in Anton McElhone as David Hopkin left the club in December. McElhone paid tribute to Hopkin after he left the club and the work he did behind the scenes of the club who like many clubs in Scotland are struggling financially in these uncertain times during the ongoing pandemic.
Both teams need a win to keep up with Heart of Midlothian who are currently top of the division - Greenock Morton recently won 1-2 at Dunfermline on Saturday 12th December which was McElhone's first game in temporary charge. The Pars have drawn four of their five league away games - they won their first away game 4-1 at Alloa Athletic. The Ton have won three of their four home league games at Cappielow Park. Both teams have drawn three of their last six league games. This all points towards a tight game (the bookies rate both sides chances as 21/20) which may end in a draw.
