A QUICK ROUND UP OF THE FRIDAY NIGHT FA VASE GAMES

Durham City 0 Thackley 4
Barkingside 1 Coggeshall United 3
Thame Rangers 0 Milton Keynes Irish 6
Broadfields United 0 Aylesbury Vale Dynamos 0 (5-4 on pens)
Virginia Water 0 Reading City 1
Fawley AFC 3 Ringwood Town 4
OJM Black Country 0 Rocester 1

There was a good crowd over at Cricklefields for an all Thurlow Nunn First Division South tie as Coggeshall United won 1-3 and will play the winners of the Sporting Bengal United v Sawbrigeworth Town tie.

The visitors took the lead via the penalty spot from Mwetsi Matangi which was ruled over the line by the referee and his assistant despite reports that the ball appeared to rebound off the post. Substitute Alex Owuadey (a former May and Baker player) scored two goals in the second half to seal the results for United.

Mason Spence continued on from his goal-scoring form with MK Robins last season who are now known as MK Irish. He scored four goals with Vinny Shrieves adding two more in their 0-6 victory at Thame Rangers.

Broadfields United went through 5-4 on penalty kicks against Aylesbury Vale Dynamos after a 0-0 draw between the two Spartan South Midlands Premiers sides.

A Michael Butcher free kick on 83 minutes was the winning goal in the all Hellenic Premier Division game against Virginia Water.

It was a seven goal thriller between Fawley and Ringwood Town with the visitors winning the game in the 91st minute.

An early Jordan Godfrey was the only goal of the game as Rocester won 0-1 at OJM Black Country.

So it was a good night for travelling teams as six out of seven games finished with away wins. It was only Broadfields United who had a home win albeit it on penalty kicks.
