AMBITIOUS BRACKNELL TOWN MAKE SOME IMPRESSIVE SIGNINGS IN PREPARATION FOR THE 20/21 SEASON

Bracknell Town were in sixth place of the Isthmian League South-Central Division have announced a number of impressive new signings in preparation for the forthcoming season along with a good number of last seasons squad to rejoin the ambitious Berkshire club. 

Former Hungerford Town and Wealdstone manager Bobby Wilkinson took over in December 2019 and in the eleven league games played until football was put on hold The Robins won nine and draw two scoring thirty goals and letting in just four with seven clean sheets achieved. 

The below shows how their squad is looking for the 2020/21 campaign - Whichever league they are placed in they will be well amongst the favourites for the title with many fans - Red denotes new players.  

Mickel Platt - The former QPR academy player, 20, has resigned for Bracknell Town after spending 4 months with the club last season where he made 14 appearances.

Caden Genovesi - Another former QPR academy player. The defender, 20, has also played for Welling United and Whitehawk on loan whilst with The R's.  He made 33 appearances for Bracknell last season. 

Dan Bayliss - Also resigned after making 34 appearances for The Robins last season. The 6 feet 4 inch centre-back signed for the club from Basingstoke Town last summer having previously played for Flackwell Heath.  Bayliss was an England Schoolboy's international as a youth in 2017. 

Seb Bowerman - Left winger Bowerman netted 17 times for the club last season. He has been offered deals to play at clubs higher up the pyramid in the past but has stayed loyal to the Berkshire side. 

Max Herbert - The Captain has re-signed for the club. He started his career with Wycombe Wanderers and Brentford before playing for Ashford Town and in America in 2018 and 2019.

Scott Rees - The midfielder signed from Thatcham Town in December 2019 and had played under manager Bobby Wilkinson at Hungerford Town. 

Michael Atkinson - The midfielder has played for Walton Casuals, Basingstoke Town and Farnborough previously. He joined the club in January and has committed to the 2020/21 season. 

Mark Scott - The goalkeeper returns for the new campaign after making 16 appearances last season. He spent some time out injured last season and it was feared he may have broken his neck for a second time following an injury sustained whilst playing for Slough Town in 2017.

Sonny Wheeler - Goalkeeper signed from Wealdstone in the summer of 2019. A youngster with a big future in the game who has been training with football league side Reading.

Callum Wright - Returns after making three appearances last season. A centre forward who has also played for Hellenic League side Binfield.   

Felipe Barcelos - Joins after a successful campaign with Thatcham Town last season where he netted 26 goals in 34 games. 

Gareth Thomas - Another to move from The Kingfishers. He is very experienced having played over 400 times for Thatcham Town where he was also Assistant Manager. He was in the squad which won the FA Vase and Hellenic League double in 2018 having made his debut in 2002. 

Alex Ferguson - Signs from Vanarama National South side Chippenham Town where he was part of the squad which won the Southern Premier Division title in 2016/17. He began his career with Swindon Town.  

Ben Markall - Started his career in the youth sides of Cheltenham Town and moved to Stoke City who were then in the Premier League when only 13 years of age for a transfer fee of £70,000. He was with Stoke City for 4 years and then joined Burton Albion for 3 seasons and then Solihull Moors before dropping out of the game to pursue a career in the financial industry. After suffering from a gambling addiction he now works with Premier and Football League clubs with 'Sporting Chance' and 'League Football Education' tackling mental health problems and addiction. 

Romario Jonas - Central defender who counts Hendon, Chalfont St Peter, Ashford Town and Maidenhead United as his former clubs. 

Perry Coles - A striker who was with Farnborough last season and has also played for Egham Town and Slough Town. 

Jack Dean - The right back joins from fellow South-Central division side Westfield where he played 36 times for last season.  The 20 year old had been with Westfield since December 2018 whom he joined from Camberley Town.
