THE BLUE BOYS LOSING RUN CONTINUES

Hatfield Town's losing run continued yesterday with a 7-1 defeat at London Lions after last week's 1-4 home loss to Park View. Chairman Chris Maloney continues as caretaker manager following Kevin Pearman stepping down midway through September. Below are full highlights of the game versus Park View which played in the pouring rain on a very cold Saturday 6th October afternoon. It's now eleven games since their first and only victory this season which came against fellow Spartan South Midlands League Division One struggler's and local rival's Codicote.

Hatfield's next two games come at home (they are currently ground sharing at London Colney which is five miles away from the Hertfordshire town) against Risborough Rangers in the Division One cup on Wednesday and then Langford at home in the league on Saturday.

Risborough are struggling as well being third bottom of the Division One table and lost 7-0 at Hillingdon Borough on Saturday - they are without a victory in nine games. They have only won two of their ten league games so far - one of which came on the opening day against Hatfield Town.

If you are unaware of the history of Hatfield Town Football Club (If you are regular reader of The Cold End you have watched some of the highlights of their games) I highly recommend reading the excellent article from 2017 by David Bauckham (Link Here) about the club and in particular the fantastic commitment there is to run it by Chris and others.
