BOSTIK PREMIER - FOCUS ON SOME NEW SIGNINGS

With the Bostik Premier League opening fixtures just under two weeks away TheColdEnd takes a look at one new signing who may stand out for each team this season.

Billericay Town
Lots of focus, including in the national press, has been focused on owner/manager Glenn Tamplin along with the big names of Jamie O'Hara, Paul Konchesky and Jermaine Pennant. Central Midfielder Sam Deering, 26, has spent his career playing mostly in the National and National South divisions for Oxford United, Newport County, Whitehawk and Ebbsfleet United as well as in the football league for Barnet and Cheltenham Town. Many step one and step two sides would love to have him in their line-up. He will be one of the stand out players for the title favourites this season.

Brightlingsea Regent
Defender/Midfielder James Love has signed for the Premier Division new-boys. He has been travelling for two years and has turned out in Australia for Stratford Dolphins. He has previous experience with Brentwood Town where he helped them win the D1 play-off final. Has also played in the Isthmian League for AFC Hornchurch and the Vanarama South for Chelmsford City. The Regent fans have already got a song lined up for him - Rihanna's "We found Love in a hopeless place" fits perfect.

Burgess Hill Town
Striker Tony Garrod has stepped up from D1(S) side Three Bridges where he was player's player of the year last season.  Scored lots of goals for The Bridges who struggled and finished second bottom of the table last season - Will he be able to make the step up?

Dorking Wanderers
Ex AFC Wimbledon and Ebbsfleet United striker Luke Moore is probably the stand out signing for the step three new boys but we'll give mention to centre back Isaac Philpott, 22, who was a youth player with Dorking FC before playing in the Conference South for Sutton United as an eighteen year old. He played for Cardiff Metropolitan University FC who finished sixth in the Welsh Premier League.

Dulwich Hamlet
Centre back Anthony Acheampong has dropped down two steps after moving to Champion Hill from Vanarama National side Maidstone United. The 27 year old made 19 appearances for The Stones last season after moving from Ebbsfleet United in the summer of 2016. Has also played in non-league's top division for Barnet.

Enfield Town
We could list a whole team for The Towners as aside from Mark Kirby and Micky Parcell new boss Andy Leese has had to recruit an all new squad after Bradley Quinton departed for Braintree Town. We'll focus on 26 year old midfielder Sam Youngs who is one of the many players who has followed Leese from his former club Chesham United. Youngs has played for Rugby Town, Redditch United, Hemel Hempstead Town, Banbury United, Ware and Halesowen Town during his career so far. He has a real eye for goal netting 10 times in 2015/16 and 15 times last season for The Generals.

Folkestone Invicta
Stiker Ade Yussuff has been impressive in pre-season form for the Kent club. The 23 year old is already quite a well travelled player - he was with Heybridge Swifts last season. He scored 23 times in 37 games for Chatham Town in 2013 and 2014 which earnt him a move to then League Two side Dagenham & Redbridge. He spent two seasons with The Daggers where he spent time on loan with a number of non-league clubs. Yussuff could be a very impressive signing for Invicta who scored 75 goals last season which was the most for a side who finished in the bottom half of the table.

Harlow Town
Having Alex Read in their line-up will be like a new signing for The Hawks. The goal machine striker has been placed on the transfer list at his own request but has now committed to staying with the Essex club for the forthcoming season - he has played 219 times scoring 159 goals in his time with the club which equates to an impressive ratio of a goal every 1.38 games.

Harrow Borough
Attacking Central Midfielder Alfie Cain is mostly known for his incredible street football skills for which he features on a number of You Tube videos. Spent time in the academy system at Chelsea and Barnet as well as playing for North Greenford United and AFC Hillgate. Could his technique help the Middlesex side climb the table this season?

Hendon
Central Defender Rian Bray was on a professional contract with League One Millwall last season after coming through the youth ranks at The New Den - he spent time on loan with Welling United, Bishop's Stortford and Leatherhead during 2016/17. The 19 year old could be one to develop further and could be a very good capture by Green's manager Gary McCann.

Kingstonian
Striker Ricky Sappleton has re-joined The K's - he played 23 times and scored 9 times for them during the 2015/16 campaign. The former Jamaican u20 International now aged 27 is re-united with his old Manger Craig Edwards whom will know his strengths and weaknesses after their time together at Billericay Town. Likely to score a good number of goals this season.

Leatherhead
New Tanner's boss Sam Moore has made a host of impressive signings over the summer. Chike Kandi is likely to be one of the stand out ones for the ex AFC Wimbledon player. The 21 year old striker who can also play on the wing has been with the academy systems of Chelsea, Birmingham City, West Bromwich Albion and Brighton & HA. Was with Vanarama National League side Woking last season and has also played for Bognor Regis Town on loan. He has already scored 7 times for the club in pre-season. He has made one appearance for the Wales u19 International team.

Leiston
Striker Christy Finch has returned to Victory Road after leaving for D1 (N) side Norwich United in December 2016 - he went on score over a dozen goals for The Planters. He netted over 20 times for The Blues during the 2015/16 season which was his first at Step Three of the non-league ladder. With Matt Blake signing on for the new season despite interest for teams higher up the non-league ladder the Suffolk team could have one of the best attacking line ups in the division - Blake scored 42 goals for the club last season.

Lowestoft Town
Centre-Back Dean Leacock has joined The Trawler Boys. The 33 year old is well known for his time with Derby County where he made 117 appearances in the Championship and Premier League between 2006 and 2012. More recently he has been with Whitehawk, Welling United and Billericay Town. The Suffolk side leaked 73 goals in their 46 league games last season which Leacock's experience can only help to improve.

Margate
Alex Flisher was transfer listed by Vanarama National side Maidstone United during the summer - subsequently he was offered new terms to stay at The Gallagher Stadium but joined Margate after eight year with The Stones. The left winger who also well known for trademark long throw-ins which will help The Gate's attacking options. He is another player who will score many goals in the league next season.

Merstham
Striker Jeff Kessie has made the step up from South East Counties League side Croydon where he over 40 times in league and cup games last season. Can he make the move up from Step 5 to Step 3 and hit the back of the net for The Moatsiders?

Metropolitan Police
Manager Jim Cooper has announced the signing of Lewis Putman from Slough Town. He has stated he has wanted to sign the centre forward for the past five or six years. Putman made his name during a ultra-prolific 2012/13 season with Oxhey Jets where he scored 84 goals alerting a number of clubs including Wealdstone who duly signed him. An unfortunate ACL injury in the pre-season of 2013/14 put him out of the game for a long spell - He Has been a first team regular with The Rebels over the past two seasons.

Needham Market
The Marketmen signed goal scoring midfielder Gareth Heath from Suffolk rival's Leiston where he always impressed when I have seen him play. His experience added to an already decent squad at Bloomfields will see them fighting for a play-off place.

Staines Town
The Swans boss Johnson Hippolyte beat a number of other clubs to sign front man Elliott Buchanan who won the golden boot in the 15/16 Vanarama South when he scored 28 goals for Bishop's Stortford. He had been tracked by a number of teams higher up the pyramid. Could he score 20+ goals for his new side this season?

Thurrock
Winger/Forward Dennis Oli has signed for The Fleet. The experienced 33 year old played 37 times for Farnborough in the Southern League Division One Central last season. Made 148 appearances for football league side Gillingham during 2008 to 2012. Rejoins up with Manager Mark Stimson whom he played under at Grays Athletic and with The Gills. His expeirence will help the team in the step up from Division One North.

Tonbridge Angels
Chris Kinnear has joined from Dover Athletic. The 27 year old has also played for Margate and Ebbsfleet United. He is tough ball winning midfield player who will add some steal to the Angels side.

Tooting & Mitcham United
Manager Frank Wilson has stuck mainly with the squad which won the D1(S) title. He has signed winger/full back Juevan Spencer from Corinthian Casuals who counts AFC Wimbleson, Salisbury City and Whyteleafe among his former clubs. He has pace to burn and scores a few goals too so could be a good signing for The Terrors.

Wingate & Finchley

The Blues have added experienced 33 year old centre back Wes Parker to their squad. He won the Premier Division title whilst with Wealdstone in 2014 - he made over 250 appearances for The Stones between 2010 to 2017.

Worthing
23 year old defender/midfielder Kershaney Samuels joins from Merstham who he helped to the FA Cup First Round proper last season. He has also played for Dulwich Hamlet in his time and is a valuable addition to the squad on the south-coast.
